Alice Howard, 86, of Mt. Sterling passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Windsor Care Center.  She was born May 24, 1936 in Magoffin County, KY to the late Charlie Ward and Lila Lykins.  She was a member of High Point Apostolic Church, Winchester, KY.

She is survived by sons, Marvin Ray Howard (Mary) of Mt. Sterling, KY, James Arnett Howard (Beverly) of Bessemer, AL and Benjamin Howard (Elizabeth) of Salyersville, KY; daughters, Carolyn Gibson (Barry) of Morehead, KY; Anita Blanton (Tommie) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Teresa Gevedon (Timothy) of Lexington, KY; fourteen grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arnett Howard; brothers, Hassle Ward, Manford Ward, Sanford Ward, Irvin Ward, Ercil Ward, Raymond Ward and Winford Ward; and sisters, Gladys Howard and Rosie Montgomery.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barney Bates officiating, burial following at Bloomington Patrick Cemetery, Salyersville, KY.  Visitation will be held 6-8 PM, Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Dustin Ray Howard, Kevin Scott Howard, Jeremy Lee Howard, William Blake Gevedon, Thomas Patrick Blanton, Andrew Clay Gevedon and Kenneth Aaron Gevedon.  Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Colby Gevedon and Judah Hawk Sizemore
