Anita Faye Rothwell, 71, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away Monday, May 11, 2026 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY.  She was born April 18, 1955 in Montgomery County, KY to the Late William and Florence Banks Ritchie.  She loved to sew, do puzzles and spend to with her family.

She is survived by sons, Junior Rothwell (Gina Mae) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Richard Rothwell of Mt. Sterling, KY; daughters, Dorothy Chandler (Robert) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Barbara Crump (Paul) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Amanda Strange (Joseph) of Mt. Sterling, KY; a brother, Donald Ritchie of Camargo, KY; sisters, Connie Hall (Richard) of Camargo, KY, Nancy Ritchie of Means, KY and Minnie Ritchie of Mt. Sterling, KY; grandchildren, Rob Chandler (Alex), Scotty Nester (Amanda), Stacy Anderson, Alex Rothwell, Haley Rothwell (Dalton), Chase Rothwell, Joe Rothwell, Maddi Chandler and Hannah Chandler (Grey); and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Rothwell, Sr., brothers, Danny Ritchie and Bobby Joe Ritchie; and sisters, Dorothy Byrd, Diane Ritchie and Shirley Rothwell.

Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Friday, May 15, 2026 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tommy Evans officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 5-7 PM, Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Scotty Nester, Joe Rothwell, Alex Rothwell, Chase Rothwell, Ricky Byrd and Joe Strange.
