Berry Elwood Reffitt, 89, of Sharpsburg passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at his residence.  He was born April 22, 1932 in Bath County, KY to the Roy Reffitt and Settie Wells.  He was a farmer, worked maintenance for Richmond Indiana schools and member of Owingsville First Church of God.

He is survived by his life partner for Geraldine Sexton Carmichael of Sharpsburg, KY; and two sisters, Emily Reffitt and Mary Reffitt; six grandchildren, Tyler Wayne Carmichael, Ryan Taylor Carmichael (Tiffany), Regina Jaden Carmichael, Braxton Richard Carmichael, Natilie Carmichael and Charlie Carmichael; and five great grandchildren, Mariana Katina Carmichael, Abigail Lane Carmichael, Riley Jadon Clair, Mason Sawyer Clair and Jaxson Clair.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Richard Carmichael; and two brothers, Billy Reffitt and Byram Reffitt.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Monday, January 31, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating burial following at Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 12-1 PM, Monday, January 31, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Travis Mobley, Steven Carpenter, Danny Tapp, Kirk Reffitt, Ryan Carmichael and James Dennis Waugh.
