Bessie Carrell Bowman, 84, of Frenchburg passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at Morgan County ARH Hospital.  She was born May 3, 1937 to the late Thomas Slater and Myrtle Brooks.

She is survived by two sons, Bennie Collinsworth (Christina) of Frenchburg, KY and Dave Collinsworth of Michigan; one daughter, Barbara Jean Baker of Michigan; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Everett Bowman; one son, Norvell Collinsworth; three brothers, Johnny Brooks, Earl Brooks and Eugene Brooks; and three sisters, Silvie Brooks, Nancy Brooks and Billie Brooks.

A graveside service at Poplin Cemetery will be held 11 AM, Friday, August 13, 2021 with Norma Seabolt officiating.  Visitation will be held 10 – 11 AM, Friday August, 13, 2021 at Poplin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Norvell Collinsworth, Jr., Billy Dickey, Billy Honshul, Richard Rice and Patrick Ratliff.  Taul Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.
