Betsy Susan Jacobs-Manley, passed away in Greensboro, NC on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the age of 76.  She was born September 6, 1947.  She was a graduate of Montgomery County High School and Morehead State University.  She became an educator after graduating and taught many years in the school system, including Montgomery County, Bath County, Clark County and Bourbon County.  She loved her time teaching and all of her students as well.

In her early years, she studied piano and had a great honor to be able to play with Liberace at the Kentucky State Fair in 1960 at the age of 14.  She continued to play at church, weddings and became a piano teacher after retiring as an educator.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Orville Lewis Jacobs and Etta Burns Jacobs (Mt. Sterling, KY), one brother, Jimmy Lutrell (Baltimore, MD).  She is survived by one son, Brad Manley (Bridgette) of Axton, VA, one daughter, Suzanne Manley (Sean) of Estancia, NM, grandchildren, Lane Manley Huggin (Ben) of Rapid City, SD, Corbin Manley of Axton, VA, Hannah Butcher (Derek) of Hampton, VA and Andrew Lile of Winchester, KY.  She is also survived by one brother, Roy Dale and one sister, Brenda Edwards, as well as several cousins and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Taul Funeral Homes in Mt. Sterling, KY.  Visitation is Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 6-8 PM, family at 5 PM and the funeral on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 11 AM with burial at Longview Cemetery in Bath County.  Pallbearers will be held Chris Holland, Brian Ballard, Rick Witt, Jason Razor, Cecil Colliver and Ryan McCoy.
