Betty Jean Moore Adams, 92, of Mt. Sterling passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023 at St. Jospeh Hospital Mt. Sterling.  She was born February 23, 1931 in Mt. Sterling to the late Roger and Ethel Toy Moore, Sr.  She was a member of First Church of God, Heritage Sunday School Class and also owner of Adams Transportation for 42 years.

She is survived by a son, Phillip Adams (Dottie) of Mt. Sterling, KY; daughter, Brenda Pittman of Mt. Sterling; three grandchildren, Claudia Terpin (Sebastian), Brianna Castillo (Luis) and Clifton Adams; and three great grandchildren, Damian Hernandez, Kaleb Castillo and Jeremiah Castillo.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Adams; son, Paul Wayne Adams; daughter, Claudia Jean Adams; two brothers, William Moore and Roger Moore, Jr; and a sister, Mary Rae Moore.

Funeral services will be 12 PM, Monday, July 17, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dave Dooley and Frank Curtis officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 4-6 PM, Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Jimmy A. Adams, Sebastian Hernandez, George Adams, Lonnie Adams, Tony Adams and Luis Castillo.  Honorary pallbearers James Collett, Harold Adams, Gerald Whitaker, Earl Whitaker and Bill Calvert.
