Betty Jean Spencer Smallwood, 77, of Means passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at her residence.  She was born December 16, 1943 to the late Clarence "Red" and Helen McPherson Spencer.  She retired from Rumpke as the office manager.

She is survived by one son, Steve Smallwood (Michelle Crouch) of Frenchburg, KY; one daughter, Susan Sponcil (Tim) of Mt. Sterling, KY; one brother, Clarence Spencer Jr. (Teresa) of Camargo, KY; one brother-in-law,  Jackie Rogers of Jeffersonville, KY; one sister, Debbie Spencer Puckett (Charlie) of Mt. Sterling, KY; and four grandchildren, Jordan Smallwood, Brandon Smallwood, Kelsey K. Smallwood and Jakob Sponcil.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jerry Smallwood; one sister, Patricia Spencer Rogers; and one grandson, Simon Chase Smallwood.

Funeral services will be held 1PM, Monday, September 13, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Skylar Smith officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 2-4 PM, Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Jordan Smallwood, Brandon Smallwood, Jakob Sponcil, Tim Sponcil, Clarence Spencer, Jr. and Steve Smallwood.
