Betty Jean Stevens, 74, of Mt. Sterling passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Mt. Sterling Health and Rehabilitation.  She was born September 7, 1951 in Morgan County, KY to the late Harlan Judge and Maude Howard Stephens.  She attended Howard's Mill Church of God.

She is survived a sister, Helen Curtis of Mt. Sterling, KY; and her best friends, Linda Rogers of Mt. Sterling, KY and Nancy Barlett of Phoenix City, AL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Byron Stephens, Earl Stephens, Ray Stephens and Harold Stephens; and a sister, Margaret Short of Mt. Sterling, KY.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Campbell officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 12 PM-1 PM, Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Michael Charles, Darrell Culpepper, Al Hanson, Branson Teater, Trevor Sizemore and Josh Christian.
