Bobby Gene Riley, 81, of Sharpsburg went to his Heavenly Home, Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY after a short illness.  Bobby was born in Buckhorn, KY to the late Robert Riley and Bertie Friley Riley.  He was a retired Sergeant in the US Army, Vietnam Veteran and was awarded a Purple Heart Cluster and a Bronze Star.

Bobby leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Brenda Curran Riley of Sharpsburg, KY; a daughter, Melissa Riley of Carlisle, KY; a son, Jerry Riley (Crystal) of Mt. Washington, KY; sister, Louise Riley Curran of Carlisle, KY; sister-in-law, Darlene Riley of Auburn, IN; grandchildren, Chelsea Snyder (Eric), Abigail Noe (Trevor), Trevor Winburn (Summer), Megan Pagel (Brendon), Cara Riley, Carl Riley, Ashley Burbrink and Ben Pugh; great grandchildren, Oliver Snyder, Teagan Snyder, Alistair Snyder, Opal Pagel, Treyton Winburn, Silas Winburn, Miles Winburn, Josie Brooks and Dawson Barnett; a host of nieces and nephews; and his faithful chihuahua, Diego.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Gene Riley; brothers, John B. Riley (Wanda), George "Jeeter" Riley (Jeanette) and Harry Riley; and sisters, Ida Dindo, "Skippy" Monroe (Frank), Jeanette Purvis (Earl) and Rose Purvis.

Funeral services will be held 12 PM, Saturday, April 19, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Owingsville, KY with Bishop Johnathan Nelson officiating, burial following Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11 AM-12 PM, Saturday, April 19, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Owingsville, KY.  Pallbearers will be Trevor Winburn, Trevor Noe, Brendon Pagel, Carl Riley, Oliver Snyder and Shawn Becraft.  Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Jones, Ben Pugh, Treyton Winburn, Alistair Snyder, Michael Tapp and Chris Jones.
