Braxton J. Willoughby, 18, of Mt. Sterling passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at University of Kentucky Hospital.  He was born January 23, 2005 in Mt. Sterling to Stanley Richards and the late Sandra Wiloughby.  He attended Jeffersonville Baptist Church, worked for ATS Construction and loved football.

He is survived by his uncle Jeff Willoughby (Leila Walters) of Mt. Sterling, KY; brothers, Austin Joseph of Mt. Sterling, KY; Karl Dowda of Mt. Sterling, KY and Aaron Richards (Brittany) of Cold Springs, KY; sisters, Amber Richards of Mt. Sterling, KY,  Katyln Richards of Paris, KY, Meshell Grant of Florida, Rachel Grant of Florida, Sara Willoughby of Georgetown, KY and Angel Kent of Reno, NV; paternal grandmother, Yvonne Richards of North Middletown, KY; nephew, Noah Hopkins of Mt. Sterling, KY; nieces, Laiken Joseph of Mt. Sterling, KY, Aliyah Hopkins of Mt. Sterling, KY and Addison Parsley; Diane "Maw" Willoughby of Jeffersonville, KY; and girlfriend, Chaya Robinson.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday, August 7, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Linville Spangler and Jordon Wade officiating, burial following at Willoughby Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 4-6 PM, Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Ryan Haney, Jacob Diallo, Corey Barber, Braxton Bryant, Ryland Bryant and Jacob Parsley.  Honorary pallbearers will be Kenzie Willoughby, Laiken Joseph, Jaden Robinson, Addison Parsley, Keagan Stephens, Addison Stephens and Maddy Sturgill.
