Bruce A. Maples, 60, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at his residence.  He was born October 22, 1963 in Hialeah, FL to Carol Binns Maples and the late William F. Maples.  He was a member and a Deacon at First Baptist Church Mt. Sterling.  He graduated from Hokes Bluff High School, Class of 1982, in Hokes Bluff, AL.  He worked for Liberty Ridge Senior Living in Sales and Marketing.  He loved Alabama Football, fishing and, most of all, he loved spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife, Angie Hill Maples of Mt. Sterling, KY; his mother, Carol Binns Maples of Gulf Breeze, FL; son, Austin Maples (Lindsay) of Mt. Sterling, KY; daughters, Amanda Maples Duff (Matt) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Allie Maples Conrad (Curtis) of Charleston, SC; brother, Steve Maples of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Luke Duff, Zoe Kate Duff, Will Maples and Peyton Maples; sister-in-law, Ramona Hill of Jacksonville, AL; and a nephew, Randy Lanham (Jessica) of Jacksonville, AL.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Monday, January 8, 2024 at First Baptist Church Mt. Sterling with Rev. Chris Wells, Pastor Austin Lewis and Pastor Bill Kilgore officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11 AM-1 PM, Monday, January 8, 2024 at First Baptist Church Mt. Sterling.  Pallbearers will be Austin Maples, Matt Duff, Luke Duff, Curtis Conrad, Tom Hunt and Phil Rison.  Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons at First Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
