Bruce E. Gilley, Sr, 80, of Tinsley Eversole Road, Frenchburg, Kentucky passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at his residence after an extended illness.  He was born on August 24, 1939 in Menifee County, Kentucky the son of the late Doc and Roxie Gilley.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He served in the US Army and was a retired employee of the Blue Grass Army Depot of 26 years and Swartz Mowing for 19 years.

He is survived by his wife Devona Kilgore Gilley; three sons, Bruce E. Gilley, Jr., William G. Gilley and Justin Lee Gilley; two daughters, Amanda (Darrien) Triplett and Debra Havens Gilley; five grandchildren, Austin L. Gilley, Cheyenne Gilley, William G. Gilley, Jr., Dawson Triplett and Tylor Triplett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Donnie Gilley, Paul Gilley and Fred Gilley; and one sister, Betty Kilgore.

Funeral services will be 11 am, Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Frenchburg with Rev. David Hale officiating and burial following in the Kilgore Cemetery.  Friends may visit Tuesday evening from 6-9 pm at the Taul Funeral Home in Frenchburg.  Pallbearers will be Bruce E. Gilley, Jr., William G. Gilley, Sr., Justin L. Gilley, Buddy Ray Kilgore, Darrien Triplett and Michael Kilgore.  Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Kilgore and Brandon Kilgore.
