Bud Becraft, 79, of Carlisle, KY passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025 at St. Joseph Hospital Mt. Sterling, KY. He was born June 16, 1945 in Montgomery, KY to the late Earl and Della Burgess Becraft. Bud was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a devoted husband and father. He farmed in Bath County and Carlisle, where he enjoyed hauling cattle for all the local farmers and stockyards. In his early years, he worked for Hinkle and Judy Construction. He loved his family and never met a stranger. He lived his life with a giving heart.
He is survived by his sons, Chad Becraft (Carol) of Carlisle, KY and Shawn Becraft of Carlisle, KY; daughters, Carma Brown (Greg) of Carlisle, KY and Kim White of Carlisle, KY; a brother, James "Jiggs" Becraft of Sharpsburg, KY; sisters, Edna Earl Taulbee of Mt. Sterling, KY, Margie Roxanne Sexton of Carlisle, KY and Betty Martin of Bath County, KY; grandchildren, Chaya Becraft, Ashley McNabb (Ryan), Matthew White, Caleb Becraft and Jessica White; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Robinson Becraft; and a brother, Jerry Wayne Becraft.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday, April 14, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Mt. Sterling with Carma Brown, Shawn Becraft, Chad Becraft and Kim White officiating along with a guest speaker, Dana Stipp. Burial following at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-7 PM, Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Mt. Sterling. Pallbearers will be James "Jiggs" Becraft, Chad Becraft, Shawn Becraft, Thomas Sexton, Matthew White and Caleb Becraft. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Purvis, Randy Cook, Greg Robinson, Damon Vice, Greg Brown, Jamie Becraft and Randy Taulbee.
Bud would like to thank all the local stockyards for trusting in him throughout the years. His life was very much impacted by all of you all. He thought, lived and loved The Cattle Industry.
