Buford Combs, 77, of Camargo Road, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 at his residence.  He was born in Hindman, Kentucky on August 22, 1943 the son of the late Homer and Beatrice Martin Combs.  He was a veteran of the US Army, a retired construction worker, a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the DAV.

He is survived by his wife Teresa (LeMay) Combs of Mt. Sterling; a son, Brandon Combs of Mt. Sterling; four daughters, Shirley (Mack Bolden) Moore of Georgetown, KY, Chandra Davis of Mt. Sterling, KY, Bridgette (Lucas) Carroll of Mt. Sterling and Brandi (Dereck) Lykins of Louisville, KY; one brother, James (Pam) Combs of Mt. Sterling; one sister, Clairece (Dave) Campbell of Mt. Sterling; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Ray Combs and Robert Ewell Combs.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the Old Regular Baptist Church with Bros. Paul Boggs, Roger Hicks and Ralph Slone, Jr. officiating and burial following in the Johnnie Martin Family Cemetery.  Friends may visit Tuesday evening from 5 - 8 pm at the Old Regular Baptist Church.  Pallbearers will be Luke Carroll, Mack Bolden, Dereck Lykins, John Moore, James Combs and Joshua Davis.  Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Combs and Roy Powell.
