Obituary

Burl Stull, Jr., 96, of Mt. Sterling passed away Monday, January 6, 2025 at St. Joseph Hospital Mt. Sterling.  He was born February 7, 1928 in Montgomery County, KY to the late Burl Stull and Mae Blevins. He was a Farmer, a lifelong Member and Elder at Sugar Grove Christian Church, Farm Bureau (retired Board Member) and Cattleman's Association. He was a proud WWII US Army Veteran and participated in Kentucky Honor Flight Program.

He is survived by a daughter, Lou Ann Gabbard (Mike) of Mt. Sterling, KY; grandchildren, Laura Howard (Jeremy) and Elizabeth Jones (Blake); and great grandchildren, Stella Jones, Michael Howard and Lily Jones.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Couchman Stull; brothers, Alton Stull, Charles Stull and Ralph Stull; and sisters, Thelma Stull, Ruby Jones, Mattie Stephens, Elizabeth Thompson and Loretta Waters.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frances Nash officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11 AM-1 PM, Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Phil Stull, Joe Thompson, Rodney Stull, Tim Lyons, Charlie Willoughby, Richard Willoughby, Bo McGuire and Alton Stull, III.  Honorary pallbearers will Kenneth Garrett, Randy Coyle, Alton Stull, Jr., Woody Stull, Gary Thompson and Mike Stull.  In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Sugar Grove Christian Church, 3841 Step Stone Road, Owingsville, KY 40360.
