Carl Richardson, Jr., 80, of Mt. Sterling passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at his home.  He was born April 30, 1943 in Mt. Sterling to the late Carl Richardson, Sr. and Elizabeth Carpenter.  He attended Camargo First Church of God, he was retired from the US Army, a retired Police Officer for Mt. Sterling Police Department and Owingsville Police Department, a Mason for Mt. Sterling Lodge #23, a member of the VFW in Owingsville, KY and a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his wife, Lina S. Richardson of Mt. Sterling, KY; daughters, Candy Adams of Mt. Sterling, KY and Marita Fox of Flemingsburg, KY; two grandchildren, Josh Adams and Melissa Fox; and a great-grandchild, Lincoln Adams.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Julie Spoonamore, Wilmena Rison and Belinda Davis.

Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Curtis officiating, burial following at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 5-7 PM, Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Masonic Rites to be perform at 7 PM.   Pallbearers will be Josh Adams, Lonnie Adams, Lonnie Pendleton, BA Franklin, Rackle Adams and Paul Teague.  Honorary pallbearers will be Lincoln Adams, Melissa Fox, Connie Jones and Jodie Adams.
