Carolyn Ruth Greer Ginter, 78, of Mt. Sterling passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at her residence.  She was born July 6, 1942 to the late James Ernest and Lucille Murphy Greer.  She was a life long member of Camargo United Methodist Church. She loved her Lord, church and her family with all her heart.  She loved UK Basketball, to go camping and the outdoors. Carolyn had so many special friends from school and church that she enjoyed spending time with.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Ginter of Mt. Sterling; three sons, Robert Ginter of Lexington, KY, Michael Ginter of Mt. Sterling, KY and Steven Ginter (Gwen) of Mt. Sterling, KY; one daughter, Melissa "Missy" Housewright (Steve) of Reidsville, NC; two brothers, David Greer (Joan) of Camargo, KY, Robert Greer (Diana) of Lexington, KY; one sister-in-law, Mary Greer of Carlisle, OH; six grandchildren, Callie Housewright, Miriam Housewright, Ryan Housewright, Hannah Ginter, Afton Ginter and Madalyn Ginter; one great grandchild, Maren Reide; several nieces and nephews; and one granddog, Sammy.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by, two brothers, Mitchell Greer and Richard Greer.

A funeral service will be held 9:30 AM, Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Housewright officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 5-7 PM, Friday, February 12, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Michael Ginter, Robert "Rob" Ginter, Steve Ginter, Jared Hardwick, Chad Ginter and Chris Barrier.
