It is with heavy hearts and profound love we announce the passing of Carolyn Sue Brewer Sexton, 74, of Sharpsburg KY on June 29, 2026. She was born in Mt. Sterling, KY to Boyd and Alberta Brewer Surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly.

She was born on August 10, 1951 in Montgomery County, KY to Boyd and Alberta Brewer. She was a member of the East Union Christian Church, a member of the Nicholas County Senior Citizen Center Advisory Board, and she dedicated 30 years to the Girl Scout troops in Nicholas County, which she enjoyed greatly.

As the wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother she was the heart of the home. She is survived by her husband, Harold Lee Sexton; daughters, Melissa (Daryl) Workman, Cynthia Duncan, and Angela Sexton. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren, Alicia (Tyler) Grimes, Steven (Adrian) Workman, Kelsey (Anthony) Treadway, Sarah (Michael) Akers, Brianna Mitchell, Nicholas Duncan, Roxie Workman, and Ava Snapp; fourteen great grandchildren; brothers, Larry Brewer, Robert (Hammer) Brewer; a sister, Barbara Hatton; a sister-in-law, Julie Brewer; a brother-in-law, Timothy Boykin; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was proceeded death by her parents, Alberta and Boyd Brewer; brother, Donald Brewer; sisters, Mary Brewer and Kathleen Boykin; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Brewer; and a son in law Forrest Duncan.

Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Friday, July 3, 2026 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eddie Vittitoe officiating, burial following at Longview Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be Steve Workman, Anthony Treadway, Michael Akers, Bradley Capps, Nathan Faulkner and Tyler Grimes. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Duncan, Gregory Hatton, Jacob Hatton, Rylan Bailey and Cole Bailey.
