Charles Douglas, 69, of Mt. Sterling passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at his residence.  He was born September 5, 1953 in Mt. Sterling to the late Thomas P. Douglas and Josephine Mitchell.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Sterling and attended WKU. He drove a school bus for Montgomery County Board of Education, he also served in Law Enforcement since 1979 for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department and the Mt. Sterling Police Department.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Lisa Smith Douglas of Mt. Sterling; sons, Adam Douglas (Heather) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Tyler Douglas (Mariah) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Cameron Douglas of Mt. Sterling, KY and Gabe Douglas of Lexington, KY; stepchildren, Christy Pickett (Daniel) of Greensburg, KY and Bradley Howard, Jr. of Nicholasville, KY; brothers, Albert Douglas of Jeffersonville, KY and Thomas P. Douglas (Judy) of Prospect, KY; grandchildren, Aubrie Douglas and Lola Douglas; step grandchildren, Courtney Pickett and Cody Pickett; step great grandchildren, Valerie Pickett and Carter Pickett; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Dave Charles officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11 AM-1 PM, Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Holbrook, Jody Evans, Mark Rossetti and Patti Wilson.
