Charles T. Sargent, 86, of Mt. Sterling passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at his residence.  He was born February 13, 1934 to the late Omer and Rena Turner Sargent.  He was a Honorary Elder of Somerset Christian Church.  He was a farmer and also worked for Monarch Mill and Southern Wood Treatment.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Reynolds Sargent; one daughter, Joyce Sponcil (Sonny) of Mt. Sterling, KY; two grandchildren, Renee Spencer and Chas Sargent; and five great grandchildren, Connor Spencer, Lydia Spencer, Emery Sargent, Henry Sargent and Charlotte Sargent.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Kenny Sargent; and one grandchild, Aaron Sponcil.

A private family service will be held at Taul Funeral Homes.
