Christine Brown age 95 of Mt. Sterling, departed this life for her heavenly home on July 25, 2022.  She was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky on October 22, 1926 to the late Charles and Fronnie DeBord.  She was a retired homemaker and a member of the Hope First Church of God.  She loved spending time with her beloved family.  Her favorite hobbies were quilting, cooking, crocheting, shopping and reading her Bible but mostly she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was the widow of Hobart Brown, they were married for 42 years; she is survived by her children, David (Sherry) Brown of Jeffersonville, KY, Claude (Peggy) Brown of Mt. Sterling, KY and Marlene (Mike) Mullins of Mt. Sterling, KY; grandchildren, Anita (Bill) Lane, Melissa (Gary Wayne) Thompson, Billy (Angela) Brown, Rebecca Johnson, Michala Mullins, and Kristin Brown; great grandchildren, Lauren (Josh) Martin, Katie Lane, Will Lane, Chandler Lane, Cody (Katie) Brown, Abigail Brown, Amanda Brown, Katherine Parks, Case Thompson and Ava Johnson; and one great great grandchild, Carsyn Martin.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Frank Brown; grandsons, David Lee Brown and Gregory Johnson; and brothers, Clarence DeBord,, Ephraim DeBord, Henry DeBord, James DeBord, Ottis DeBord and Edward DeBord.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, July 29, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Mt. Sterling with Rev. Glenn Sizemore and Rev. David Hale officiating, burial will follow at Powers Cemetery, Denniston, KY.  Visitation will be 5-8 PM, Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Mt. Sterling. Pallbearers will be Gary Wayne Thompson, Billy Brown, Cody Brown, Bill Lane, Mike Mullins, Allen Handy, Rick Fair and Greg Alfrey.
