Christine Hedges, 104, of Mt. Sterling passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 at Windsor Care Center.  She was born August 30, 1917 to the late Arthur Carter and Artie Leggett.  She was a member of Spring Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Rita Prewitt (Catesby) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Patsy Grooms (Bobby) of Mt. Sterling, KY; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Ray Hedges; a son, Danny Ray Hedges; one brother, Everett Carter.

A private funeral service will be held with Pastor Chuck Perry officiating.  Pallbearers will be Mike Grooms, Gabe Prewitt, Shane Shelby, Hunter Shelby, Caven Hedges, Sawyer Croosfield, Eric Adams and Rob Sobolewski.  Honorary pallbearers Catesby Prewitt, Bobby Grooms and Gus Fogle. Taul Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.
