Christine Schmidt, 94, went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.  She was born August 12, 1931 in West Liberty, Kentucky to the union of Elijah and Hester May Gevedon.  Christine was the widow of the love of her life of 68 years, Vernon Reinhold Schmidt.  She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.  Until her health prohibited, Chistine loved attending singings and services at various local churches, and was a faithful worshipper at Church of God, Morehead, KY.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting and most of all, being with family.

Christine is survived by four sisters, Jan Thompson of Mt. Sterling, KY, Betty Vinson of Mt. Sterling, KY, Evelyn Gevedon of Mt. Sterling, KY and Lee Benton of Wauconda, IL; children: Faron Schmidt of Mt. Sterling, KY, Mike Schmidt (Judy) of Salem, WI and Karen Miko (Chris) of Mt. Sterling, KY; grandchildren: Gwen Schmidt of Mt. Pleasant, WI, Jason Schmidt of Caldonia, WI, and Rachael Schmidt of Racine, WI, Tyler Cornett (Kate) of Highland Heights, KY, Lauren Carter (Matt) of Graniteville, SC; great grandchildren: Kendall Deming of Highland Heights, KY, Kairi Deming of Highland Heights, KY and Reinhold Cornett of Highland Heights, KY.

Funeral services will be held 12 PM, Monday, December 22, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glen Maschino officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11 AM-12 PM, December 22, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Christopher Flaherty, Jason Schmidt, Tyler Cornett and Matt Carter.
