Dava Kristin Brown, 46, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Select Specialty Hospital in Danville, KY. She was born November 3, 1979 in Morristown, TN to David Brown and Katherine Gooding. She attended Hope First Church of God and was a retired Certified Medical Assistant. She cherished her childhood memories with her beloved grandparents and spending time on their farm. She had a very spiritual nature, loved her family and her precious dog, Maggie May.

She is survived by her parents, David Brown (Sherry) of Jeffersonville, KY and Katherine Gooding (John) of Mt. Sterling, KY; her beloved sisters, Melissa Brown of Lexington, KY, Anita Lane (Bill) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Jamie Bryant (Dale) of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Greg Alfrey (Tonya) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Chad Alfrey of Spring Lake, NC and Shane Razor (Dottie) of Jeffersonville, KY; and several nieces and nephews, along with her aunts and uncles.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Paul and Pansy Spencer; paternal grandparents, Hobart and Christine Brown; and a very special brother, David Lee Brown, aka Leroy Brown.

Funeral Services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Mt. Sterling, KY with Rev. Tim Cole and Rev. Glen Sizemore officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM, Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be Greg Alfrey, Billy Brown, Paul Alfrey, Shane Razor, Claude Brown and Bill Lane.
