David W. James, 71, of Mt. Sterling passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Windsor Care Center. He was born June 27, 1948 to the late David James and Mary Doris Willis. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a Librarian at John Hopkins.

He is survived by a first cousin, Doris Mowery of Ashland, KY.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Dr. Mary Lee Eastham.

A private family graveside service will be held 1 PM, Monday, April 13, 2020 at Ashland Cemetery with Father D. Andrew Canon Garner, KHS. Pallbearers will be Robert Mowery and Jeff Knipp.
