David Shannon Taylor, 52, of Jeffersonville, KY passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Baptist Health Hospital.  He was born December 3, 1971 in Maysville, KY to Janis Sue Taylor and the late Bobbie Flora.  He was of the Christian Faith and retired from Montgomery County Sheriff Department as a Deputy Sheriff.

He is survived by his wife, Aspen Shepherd Taylor of Jeffersonville, KY; his mother, Janis Sue Taylor of Flemingsburg, KY; sons, Austin Taylor (Mandy Cloe) of Jeffersonville, KY and Chase Taylor of Jeffersonville, KY; uncle, Eric Flora (Shirley) of Hilltop, KY; aunts, Janice Flora of Elizaville, KY, Christine Applegate of Flemingsburg, KY and Linda Manning (Scott) of Flemingsburg, KY; cousin, Christi Kesterson (Jerry) of Flemingsburg, KY; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Beth and Sheldon Shepherd of Salyersville, KY; and brother-in-law, Craig Shepherd of Georgetown, KY.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Palmer and Geneva Taylor and Paul and Maude Flora.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Hickerson officiating, burial following at Lovely Amburgey Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 5-7 PM, Friday, May 3, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Jason Townsend, Greg Vice, Greg Ball, Wayne Green, Shane Barnes, Anthony Myers, Grant Faulkner and Steve Tincher.
