David L. Trimmer, 76, of Mt. Sterling passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023.  He was born October 26, 1946 to the late Cassell James Trimmer and Frances Pauline Tipsword.  He attended Gateway Christian Church and retired from GTE.  He served in the U.S. Airforce.

He is survived by a son, David Rose of Mt. Sterling, KY, daughters, Mary Beth Morton of Jeffersonville, KY and Lori Rose of Mt. Sterling; brothers, Jerry Trimmer of Jeffersonville, KY, Dale Trimmer (Linda) of Winchester, KY and Wesley Trimmer of Mt. Sterling, KY; sister, Gerri Holbrook (Gary) of Cottondale, FL; grandchildren, Steven Parks (April), Gabrielle Morton, Michele Rose, Brooklyn Heller (Jeremy) and Jacie Morton; and great grandchildren, Logan Parks (Helena), Georgia Dailey and Carter Heller.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Zenada Faye Trimmer; a daughter, Tammy Rose; son-in-law, Don Morton; and his two loving dogs who perished with him, Precious and Rocky.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Gateway Christian Church with Pastors Bill Kilgore and Seth Lawson officiating.  Visitation will be held 11 AM-1PM, Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Gateway Christian Church.  Pallbearers Danny Robbins, Barry Duff, Jeremy Heller, Tim Dailey, Gary Holbrook and Andrew Fischer.
