Deborah Lynn Gentry, 71, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 at UK Medical Center.  She was born October 26, 1953 in Mt. Sterling to the late Walter and Dean Moore Rogers.  She was a Teacher for the Montgomery County Board of Education for over 45 years and attended Gateway Christian Church.  She enjoyed traveling, watching sunsets and spending time with her boys was her passion.

She is survived by her husband, Stan Gentry of Mt. Sterling, KY; sons, JP Gentry of Lexington, KY and Jordan Gentry (Anna Claire) of Lexington, KY; and a brother, David Allen Rogers (Jeanie) of Sharpsburg, KY.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by twin infants, Josh and Jenna Gentry; and a brother, Dwayne Rogers.

A funeral service will be held 1 PM, Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Gateway Christian Church with Rev. Glenn Emery and Rev. Bill Kilgore officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11 AM-1 PM, Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Gateway Christian Church.  Pallbearers will be Russell Skinner, Caleb Spencer, Kevin Centers, Dustin Miller, Danny Dyer and Bruce Taylor.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tyson Rogers and Brian Rogers.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christian Traditional School. c/o Gateway Christian Church or Camargo Church of God.
