Debra Sue Wages Carpenter, 59, of Brooks Avenue, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.  She was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on March 22, 1962 the daughter of the late Everett and Anna Lou Barnes Wages.  She was a member of the Pentecostal faith and loved playing with her grandbabies and drawing.

She is survived by a son Jason (Dale Marie) Wages of Mt. Sterling; a daughter, Jessica Strange of Owingsville, KY; three brothers, Michael (Leslie) Wages, Larry (Beth) Wages and Gary (Virginia) Wages all of Mt. Sterling; a sister, Judy (Shirley) Crouch of Owingsville, KY; five grandchildren, Anahleigh Wages, Arianna Alguire, Dakota Anderson, Eli Anderon and Jacob Angel and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bruce Wages, Delbert Wages and Troy Wages.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Norma Seabolt officiating and burial following in the Lovely & Amburgey Cemetery.  Friends may visit Tuesday from 11 am - 1 pm at the Taul Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be Mark Wages, Andrew Wages, Charles Barnes, David Gilvin, Dakota Anderson and Billy Dickey.  Honorary pallbearers will be Shirley Crouch and Paul Anderson.
