Doris Lou Tyree, 88, of Mt. Sterling passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Windsor Care Center.  She was born January 28, 1936 in Montgomery County, KY to the late Jackson and Lillian Donaldson Conley.  She attended First Christian Church, Mt. Sterling and worked for Montgomery County Schools Head Start Program as a Social Worker.

She is survived by sons, Mark Tyree of Lexington, KY and Ashley Tyree (Ginger) of Mt. Sterling, KY; and grandchildren, Catherine Rose Tyree (Jason) and John Mark Tyree (Courtney).

In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by her husband, Emery Tyree; brothers, Presley Conley and John "J.C." Conley; and sisters, Lena Gilvin, Mary Woodson "Woodie" Gilvin and Opal Foley.

Funeral services will be 12 PM, Friday, September 20, 2024 at First Christian Church with Rev. Dr. Scott Holley, Rev. Brandon Gilvin and Rev. Michelle Ballard officiating.  Visitation will be held 10 AM-12 PM, Friday, September 20, 2024 at First Christian Church.  Committal service will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Machpelah Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be John Tyree, Jason Sturgill, Shannondor Conley, Brandon Gilvin, Keith Yarber and Billy Wayne Gilvin.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Doris and Emery Tyree First Christian Church Choir Fund, 222 W Main Street, Mt.
