Dorothy Marie Brawner, 79, of Lexington, KY passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice in Lexington, KY.  She was born April 5, 1946 in Louisville, KY to the late Larue and Dorothy East Coy.  She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, Winchester and St. Patrick Catholic Church, Mt. Sterling, KY.  She was a painter, loved to paint and spend time with family and friends.

She is survived by sons, Father Frank Brawner of Stanton, KY and James Alan Brawner of Lexington, KY; a sister, Barbara Coy (Joseph St. Onge) of Sarasota, FL; and several nephews and nieces.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Cafego, Martha Snyder and Nancy Trumbo.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, November 28, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Frank Brawner officiating, burial following at St. Thomas Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of the Mountains Church, 1093 E.
