Edgar Carrol Brooks, 92, of Means passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at his residence.  He was born April 5, 1932 in Montgomery County, KY to the late Courtland and Mary Mullens Brooks.  He attended Slate Creek Pentecostal Church, was a Farmer and a Mechanic.  He loved to coon hunt and fish.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Brooks of Means, KY; sons, Wendell Brooks (Vicki) of Mt. Sterling and Ronnie Brooks of Mt. Sterling, KY; daughter, Linda Hutchens (Luther) of Lexington, KY; brothers, Delbert Brooks of Jeffersonville, KY and Elmer Brooks of Jeffersonville, KY; sister, Delores Charles of Clay City, KY; grandchildren, Adam Brooks and Leroy Hutchens; four great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Albert Brooks; and sisters, Irene King and Annie Mae Rowe.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Monday, September 30, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Junior Williams and Kelly Blankenship officiating, burial following at Lovely Amburgey Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11 AM-1 PM, Monday, September 30, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be William Leadingham, Leroy Hutchens, Wyatt Hutchens, Matthew Brooks, Adam Brooks and Andy Lykins.
