Edith Puckett Trent, 96, of Mt. Sterling passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at residence.  She was born February 29, 1928 in Montgomery County, KY to the late Norvle Puckett and Mollie Nancy Vivian.  She attended Macedonia Baptist Church Mt. Sterling and retired from Jockey International as a seamstress.

She is survived by son, Leslie Allen Trent (Teresa) of Mt. Sterling, KY; daughters, Janice Trent of Mt. Sterling, KY, Carolyn Trent of Mt. Sterling, KY and Cheryl Lynn Jolly (Ricky Jolly) of Mt. Sterling, KY; sister, Fern Mae Reed of Lexington, KY; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Trent, Jr.; and brothers, William Arthur Puckett and Hubert Puckett.

A graveside service will be held 1PM, Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Machpelah Cemetery with Price Porter and Rova Thorne officiating.  Pallbearers will be Levi Martin, Rova Thorne, Richie Martin, Tina Stapleton, Ricky Jolly and Les Trent.
