Elizabeth Ruth Naegele, 74, of Mt. Sterling passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling.  She was born November 12, 1946 to the late Charles and Alma Schtraz Naegele.

She is survived be a son, Billy Hammond (Stephanie) of Mt. Sterling, KY; a daughter, Martha Hammond of Mt. Sterling, KY; a brother, Charles Naegele of Ohio; five grandchildren, Tonya Leach, Jonathan Hammond, Arabella Hammond, Alex Atkinson and Aron Atkinson; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by William D. Hammond; two brothers, and one sister.

A funeral service will be held 1 PM, Friday, March 19, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Howard Hamilton officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 12-1 PM, Friday, March 19, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Jonathan Hammond, Jerry Burnham, Alex Atkinson, Aron Atkinson, Larry Griffin and Jason "Tuffy" Hunley.  Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Nelson, Shane Dunaway, Dave Pitts and Mike Hall.
