Emmett S. Meeks, 69, of Owingsville passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling.  He was born August 27, 1952 to the late Emmett A. and Rutena Cain Meeks. Emmett was a loving Husband, Father, Son and Grandfather.  He graduated from Bath County High School 1970, Bachelors of Science 1978 and Masters in Business 1981 from Morehead State University.  He retired from Kinder-Morgan as a Operation Specialist.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Brown Meeks of Owingsville, KY; two sons, Emmett S. Meeks Jr (Teal) of Montgomery Co., KY and William R. Meeks (Cassandra) of Mt. Sterling, KY; two daughters, Heather Douglas (Adam) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Emily Meeks of Bath Co., KY; a special daughter, Kim Cooper of Georgetown, KY; sister, Marilyn Beverley (Leonard) of Au Train, MI; grandchildren, Austin Meeks (Alexis), Amber Meeks, Aiden Smith, Zachary Meeks, Aubrie Douglas, Zayden Meeks, Jodi Spencer (Arthur) and Nicole Smith (Jonathan); great grandchildren, Noah Becraft, Gavin Becraft, Addison Meeks, Ashlynn Spencer and Avereigh Spencer; nephew, Len Beverley (Kelley); and great nephew, Leonard Brooks Beverley.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Meeks.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Brown officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 5-7 PM, Monday, March 28, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Emmett Meeks Jr, William Meeks, Zachary Meeks, Adam Douglas, Len Beverley, Arthur Spencer, Jonathan Smith, Aiden Smith and Austin Meeks.
