Evelyn Jean Shoemaker, 88, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019 in Fairfax, VA.  She was born October 30, 1931 to the late Elbert J. and Ida Sewell Shoemaker.  She was a member of St. Bernadettes Catholic Church of Springfield, VA. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin and worked in education and research at Gallaudet University.

Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Friday, January 10, 2020 at Machpelah Cemetery.
