Ewell Thomas Bennett "Mr. B", 99, of Mt. Sterling passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital Mt. Sterling.  He was born November 23, 1921 to the late Clyde and Audrey Young Bennett.  He was a member of First Christian Church Mt. Sterling and a Kentucky Colonel. He was an Army Veteran, he worked as an Insurance Agent for Kentucky Central and employed by Orear Hardware Store. He loved his family and friends, he loved to travel and find good places to eat, keeping up with and following the stock market, dressing neatly and at age 96 he drove to Florida.

He is survived by a very special friend, Mary Tom Ensor of Mt. Sterling, KY; and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Virgileen Reynolds Bennett in July of 1977; one sister, Louise Bennett; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Holley officiating, burial following at Owingsville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 5-7 PM, Monday, December 21, 2020 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Jason Bailey, Jeremy Bailey, Willie Vanlandingham, Wayne Toy, John Mahler, Lonnie Vice, JR Bailey and Ken Evans.  Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Thomas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to White Oak Christian Church, 2606 White Oak Road, Owingsville, KY 40360 and First Christian Church, 222 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
