Floyd Parsley, age 78, a native of Martin County, Kentucky, born on July 3, 1942 to Floyd Andersen Parsley and Elin Trigg Parsley of Hode, Kentucky, passed away on April 29, 2021.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings; Thelma Parsley, Doris Parsley, Ann Dingess, Grace Alley, Ellis Parsley and Gene Parsley.

Floyd was a retired electrician of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 183.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  Floyd had a wonderful sense of humor.  He enjoyed farming at his home in Cynthiana, Kentucky.  Floyd was a devoted family man, who took care of his family and was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church, Cynthiana, Kentucky.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Floyd is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Delores Ann (Sluss) Parsley.  He leaves behind two sons; Brian Parsley of Frankfort, Michael Parsley and special daughter-in-law Brenda Parsley of Mt.  Sterling.  He is also survived by sister-in-law Carmon Parsley of Columbus, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; his grandchildren Craig Joseph Parsley, Sophia Parsley, Grant Parsley, Joshua Hughes and Amanda (Matt) Scarbrough; and two great-granddaughters, Charlee Mae and Hayden Alivia Scarbrough.

Visitation for Floyd will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Taul Funeral Home, 109 East Main Street, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.  The funeral service will follow at 1 PM with Rev. Rick Stafford officiating.   Burial will be after the service at Machpelah Cemetery, 600 East Locust Street, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
