Frances Warren Moore, 69, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Windsor Care Center after a long illness.  She was affectionately known to many as peewee.  She was born in Montgomery County on November 21, 1951, the daughter of the late Colonel and Cora Highley Warren.  Frances was a faithful member of the Rolling Hills Church of Christ having been a Sunday School Class teacher for over 30 years.  She retired from Montgomery County Schools in 2015 after 41 ½ years of service as the Assistant Treasurer and payroll clerk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, J.D. Moore in 2004. Frances is survived by her brother, Larry George of Mt. Sterling, KY; one sister-in-law, Brenda Kimbrell (Darrell) of Mt. Sterling; two nieces, Patty Ramsey of Southern California and Diane Goldthorpe of Lexington, KY; four nephews, David, Micah and Steve George of Southern California and Brian Kimbrell of Lexington, KY; as well thirteen great nieces and nephews.  Frances also leaves behind many special friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm, Friday, April 2, 2021 at Rolling Hills Church of Christ in Mt. Sterling with Dan Murphy and Jerry Carmichael officiating, burial following in Machpelah Cemetery.  Friends may visit Friday from 12-2 PM at the church.  Pallbearers will be Darrell Kimbrell, Brian Kimbrell, David Ingram, Eddie Ingram, Kenny Gulley and Ben Gulley.  Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Ingram, Ronnie Cooper, Mike Evans, Carl Hartgrove, John Hartgrove, Tommy Highley, Larry Keath, Richard Hughes and Tony Hartgrove.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Rolling Hills Church of Christ building fund, 125 Rolling Hills Drive, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
