Gary Lee Barrett, 56, of Mt. Sterling passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at his residence.  He was born October 6, 1963 to the late Lester Pearl Barrett and Clarabell Noble Bates.  He was a self-employed contractor.

He is survived by his fiancé, Barbara Lockard of Mt. Sterling, KY; one son, Lester Barrett of Booneville, KY; one daughter, Tiffany Barrett of Booneville, KY; three brothers, Larry Barrett (Lisa) of Richmond, KY, Paul Wayne Barrett of Richmond, KY and David Barrett (Tracy) of Richmond, KY; three sisters, Connie Turner of Richmond, KY, Linda Barrett of Booneville, KY and Regina Bates of Monticello, KY; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 1 PM, Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Belcher Cemetery in Jackson, KY. Taul Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.
