Gerald "Jerry" Thompson, 75, of Mt. Sterling passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital Mt. Sterling. He was born March 2, 1945 to the late Johnie and Nellie Hartgrove Thompson. He retired from Columbia Gas.

He is survived by two sisters, Judy Henderson (Donnie) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Cheryl Amburgey (Dennis) of Means, KY; and four nephews, Larry Henderson (Tammy), Garry Henderson, Daniel Amburgey (Candace) and Marc Amburgey.

A private family graveside service will be held with Pastor Aaron Conn and Pastor Bush Stevenson officiating. Pallbearers will be Larry Henderson, Garry Henderson, Daniel Amburgey, Marc Amburgey, Robert Clark and Jon Henderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Branham, Carl Hartgrove, Darvin Hartgrove, Earl Whitaker, Jakie Hartgrove and Gerald Whitaker.
