Gordon Taylor Curtis, 94, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away on June 19, 2023 at St. Jospeh Hospital Mt. Sterling.  He was born on February 8, 1929 in Robertson County, the eldest Child of Boyd and Beulah Curtis.

Gordon was drafted into the United State Army, during the Korean War, serving from 1951-1953.  He worked as a city bus driver for Greenline and Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky for 43 years.  Gordon was a loving and devoted husband, father, and "papaw", and a member of Gateway Christian Church.  Better known by his family as "Tater", he was a fun-loving man who enjoyed gardening, camping and fishing, and telling jokes.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Curtis; his daughters, Melinda (Bobby) Wigginton and Melissa (Jeff) Arnett, both of Mt. Sterling; five grandchildren, Justin Arnett, Jacob Arnett, Jordan Arnett, Caleb Wigginton and Maggie Wigginton.

He is also survived by his step-son, Dan (Joan) Curtis of Florence; brother, Paul (Loretta) Curtis of Elsmere; his sister, Carolyn Flaugher of Florence; and sister-in-law, Louetta Curtis of Fairview.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William "Buddie" Curtis; and brother-in-law, Jake Flaugher.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Wigginton, Jeff Arnett, Justin Arnett, Caleb Wigginton, Jacob Arnett and Jordan Arnett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Frazier and Henry Wigginton.

Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Bill Kilgore and Glenn Emery officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 6-8 PM, Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.
