Gregory Clay McCoy, 67, of Mt. Sterling went home to be with Jesus Friday, March 10, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.  Born May 5, 1954 in Montgomery County, he was the son of the late Homer McCoy and Virgileen McCoy.  He was preceded in death by his beloved brother Homer Cecil McCoy.  He was a retired home builder and engineering specialist.  His hobbies were hunting and fishing.  He was known as a master chef and loved to feed others and share a meal.  Weekends were reserved UK Football and Basketball, Nascar and Golf.  He was always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed it.  He enjoyed the company of friends and shared many great memories from being with them.  He will be dearly missed and never forgotten by his family and friends. He was a member of the Lions Club-Follies and Ducks Unlimited.

Survivors include his wife and high school sweetheart, Teresa McCoy of 48 years; a daughter, Laura McCoy Curreri of Winchester, KY; a son, Anthony McCoy of Mt. Sterling, KY; and four grandchildren, Hannah Curreri of Winchester, KY, Ashton McCoy, Ellie McCoy and Macy McCoy all of Grand Island, FL.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
