Hazel Otis Jones, 99, of Lexington passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Sayre Christian Village in Lexington.  She was born April 15, 1924 in Bath County to the late Archie Otis and Alice Maze.  She attended Peeled Oak Christian Church and retired from Foodtown as a grocery clerk.

She is survived by her husband, Gilbert B. Jones of Lexington, KY; son, David Jones (Elizabeth) of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Allison Brooke Jones and Aaron Dawson Jones (Melissa); and great grandchildren, Emerson Perez, Dawson Jones and Mason Jones.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Claude Otis, Virgil Otis, Emmitt Otis, Sam Otis, Chester Otis and James Otis; and sisters, Nora Snedegar, Nona Foley and Marie Toy.

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM, Monday, February 5, 2024 at Machpelah Cemetery with Robert Paul Haydon officiating. Pallbearers will be family members.
