Obituary

Henry C. "Jack" Barnett, 94, of Mt. Sterling passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at the St. Joseph-Mt. Sterling Hospital.  He was born in Menifee County, Kentucky on April 17, 1927 the son of the late Soney and Daley Faulkner Barnett.  He was a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II, a retired repairman for Columbia Gulf Transmission, a Farmer and a member of the Camargo Church of God.  He was the widower of Jeanetta McCoy Barnett.

He is survived by two sons, Greg (Connie) Barnett and Chris (Teresa) Barnett both of Mt. Sterling, KY; one daughter, Lisa Barnett (Teddy) Hughes of Mt. Sterling; a brother, Merle (Judy) Barnett of Jeffersonville, KY; eight grandchildren, Adam Barnett, Jonathon (Jessica) Barnett, Andrew (Kayla) Barnett, Crystal Barnett, Christina Barnett, Candice (Kyle) Conte, Courtney Hughes (Tayler) Nixon and Allison Hughes (Phillip) Roland; eleven great grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Soney Ray Barnett; one sister, Mildred Hon Richards and a brother, Kenneth Barnett.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Liston and Mark Ledford officiating with burial following in the Machpelah Cemetery.  Friends may visit Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the Taul Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be Danny Martin, Charles Sergent, Mark Ledford, Brayden Barnett, Adam Barnett, Jonathon Barnett, Andrew Barnett and Wayne Munday. Honorary pallbearers will be Barry McCoy, Teddy Hughes, Reza Hashampour, Allen Kendrick, Kyle Conte, Russell Perkins, Darrell Ball, Alvah McCoy, Tayler Nixon and Phillip Roland.
