Herman Glenwood Ray "Poppies", 79, of Georgetown passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Georgetown Community Hospital.  He was born March 9, 1943 in Bath County, KY to the late Charlie Ray and Beulah Stull.  He worked as a Horseman for several Central Kentucky Farms.

He is survived by a son, Glen Allen Ray of Versailles, KY; two daughters, Thelma Powell (Robbie) of Richmond, KY and Connie Ray, Georgetown, KY; two sisters, Thelma Dorsey of Jeffersonville, KY and Loretta Steele of Ypsilanti, MI; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Williams, Alice Faye Gray and Rosella Shelton.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eli Johnson officiating, burial following at Kendall Springs Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11:30 AM-1PM, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Ronald Gray, Danny Gray, Allen Williams, Glen Ray, Nicholas Bolin and Wesley Baker.
