Humberto Rivas Porras, 48, of Mt. Sterling passed Saturday, January 1, 2022 away at his residence.  He was born March 26, 1973 in Mexico to the late Maurilio Rivas Esparza and Ana Maria Porras Mendoza.  He worked in Construction, Painting and Vinyl and enjoyed hanging out with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three children, Jorge Humberto Rivas Marquez (Cintya Lilana Rios Alvardo) of Meoqui Chihuahua, Mexico, Miguel Angel Rivas Marquez (Ana Bertha Quinones Talamantis) of Meoqui Chihuahua, Mexico and Colten Covix of Mt. Sterling, KY; brothers, Maurilio Riva Porras (Martha Rivas Gurrola) of Meoqui Chihuahua, Mexico, Juan Francisco Rivas Porras of Meoqui Chihuahua, Mexico and Daniel Rivas Porras (Lizbeth Paola Tarin of Meoqui Chihuahua, Mexico; Uncles and Aunts, Michael Heinzen (Victoria) of Indiana; Maria Teresa Porras Mendoza (Horacio Balderrama Gutierrez) of Mexico and Tomas Porras Mendoza (Ana Carma Torres); four grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Oscar, Justin, Jason and Gerardo.

A Memorial Service will be from 5 pm - 8 pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church, 846 Grassy Lick Road, Mt. Sterling with Rev. Eric Patterson officiating. His final resting place will be in Chihuahua, Mexico at a later date.
