Irene Brooks King, 82, of Means, KY passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital Mt. Sterling.  She was born March 5, 1938 to the late Courtney and Mary Marie Mullins Brooks.  She was a member of Means Community Church.

She is survived by her husband, William David King of Means, KY; two sons, Harold Wayne Howard of Means, KY and Darrell Howard of Means, KY; one daughter, Barbara Taulbee of Mt. Sterling, KY; three brothers, Elmer Brooks of Mt. Sterling, KY, Delbert Brooks of Mt. Sterling, KY and Edgar Brooks of Mt. Sterling, KY; two sisters, Deloris Charles of Powell County and Anna Mae Rowe of Menifee County, KY; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Jo Howard; and one brother, Albert Brooks.

A graveside service will be held 1 PM, January 16, 2021 at Lovely and Amburgey Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Evans officiating. Pallbearers will be family members.
