Ivory Delena Snelling, 81, of Mt. Sterling passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 at her residence.  She was born May 29, 1943 in West Liberty, KY to the late Roscoe Smith and Mazie Adkins.  She worked as a Custodian for the Montgomery County Board of Education.  Ivory lived at the Mary Tremble House and was the life of the party.  She loved her family, cream candy, sewing and especially quilting.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy Lee (Demarie) of Olympia, KY; brother, Donald Smith (Maxine) of Camargo, KY; sisters, Peggy Linkins of Owingsville, KY, Alice Manning (Paul) of Maysville, KY and Patty Smith of Owingsville, KY; grandchild, Joyce Williams; five great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Julie "Sis" Snelling; brother, James Smith; sisters, Thelma Snelling, Lena B. Moore, Ruth Sexton, Mae Arnold and Faye White; and a grandchild, Allen Lee.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Monday, January 20, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Mt. Sterling with Bro. Scott Barnes officiating, burial following at Longview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 12 -1 PM, Monday, January 20, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Mt. Sterling.  Pallbearers will be Jacob Floyd, Jacob Wilson, Evan Williams, Michael Ratliff, Gary Moore and Larry Moore.  Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Lee, Nelson Bierley, Shay Sorrell and Arnold Howard.
