Obituary

James Nelson Conyers (Jimmy), 91, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Bluegrass Community Hospital in Versailles. He was born in Bath County, Kentucky on October 2, 1930, the son of the late Ivan and Bernice Snedegar Conyers. He was a graduate of Mt. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-four years, Evelyn Cline Conyers.

Jimmy was known for his humor, quick wit, and his love for sports, especially the University of Kentucky Wildcats and the Cincinnati Reds.  But, above all else, his passion was his family, relishing the time he spent with "all his girls" and one grandson.

Mackenzie (Luke Burnett) Harbin, Madison (Andrew) Homan, and Carter Harbin. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren Taylor (Jason) Stanfield, Mary (Ben) McKinney, Ella and Anna Cooper, and George and Whit Stuart, a great great-grandchild Lily Stanfield, several nieces and nephews, and very special cousins, Barbara Hamilton and John Snedegar.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Caitlin Taylor Harbin and sister, Bettye Conyers Clifford.
